Things I’ve done wrong creating this blog

General

“SEO is about perfectionism, but perfectionism leads to non-productivity”

Perfectionism is what kept me from starting an English blog for about two years now. Tody I got rid of my fears and actually did what I should have done ages ago: Install Wordpress, spend about half an hour customizing a random theme and stop wining about what could be wrong.

I know Wordpress ain’t perfect. I know this theme ain’t perfect, and I most certainly know that I am hosting an English blog on a Dutch server. But that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that I’m here, finally…

And now make sure perfectionism doesn’t keep you from publishing :-)

Well, as far as i can see now you did most of the stuff correct.

Only thing to nag about is the typography. I really hate the font you’re using in general text.

In case of supplemental pages you could try to not use the archive based on time, but only the one on the category.

Wow Akismet is quite the fanatic. It filtered out all three of your comments…

I edited the categories and archives to only display links and no excerpts. I’ll add some stubbs to the category pages later on to prevent them from going supplemental. That should pretty much do the trick (I Hope).

@Roy: I kinda like the font but I’ll see what I can do ;-)

With the right CSS code you can also make the PNG transparant in IE.

Don’t listen to Roy when it comes to fonts ;) the first thing you really did wrong was not creating a blogroll :P
